Currently the population of red pandas is under 10,00 individuals. A big majority of them live in the temperate forests of Eastern Himalayas, which is located between the Kali Gandaki River in Central Nepal in the west and Myanmar in the east, occupying southeast Tibet in China, Sikkim, North Bengal, Bhutan, and North-East India.
